The Great Fire of London started on the 2nd September 1666 in a baker’s shop on Pudding Lane by Thomas Fariner. The fire spread rapidly because the houses were very close together and made from wood and straw. The weather had aslo been very dry and it was windy.
In Butterfly the children have been working hard, gathering facts and making 3D models to reenact the tragic event.
